The Polestar 1 will showcase its performance on the asphalt at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
Polestar will attend the Goodwood Festival of Speed to demonstrate its dynamic capabilities and, at the same time, will put its most direct rivals to the test

The birth of a new model or a new brand is always exciting, since it opens a different door in the automotive world. Volvo has managed to create this effect with the creation of Polestar, a brand that arrives as the performance hybrid and electric sports division of the Swedish company. Its first model, the Polestar 1, came into the world as a proposal to show everyone that this project had been taken very seriously and that it had arrived to compete with the greats and, after some time, we are finally going to see it in action.
The Polestar has generated a lot of talk since its first appearance, since it was a completely new model that came to break all the rules. After numerous tests by the brand to perfect its first creation, Polestar felt ready to give the starting signal and launch it onto the market. However, the Swedish company has another good piece of news in store for us, which anticipates that very soon we will see the Polestar 1 on the road.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed has been the event chosen to demonstrate what the Polestar 1 is capable of, a vehicle that perfectly combines supercar performance with luxury and exclusivity. This is shown in its charismatic design, where we can see how the design language of Volvo has been taken to the next level; at the same time, the cabin is also an essential element of this formula.

Joakim Rydholm, the brand’s chief test driver, will be in charge of showing the world the dynamic capabilities that the Polestar 1 has on British asphalt. In this way, the Swedish sports car will have the opportunity to demonstrate not only its capabilities, but also to challenge its main rivals, who will also take advantage of this event to push the track with their performance.
Let us remember that the hybrid creation of Polestar features inside a 2.0-litre combustion engine capable of delivering 342 CV. This figure rises to 600 CV and 1,000 Nm of torque thanks to the presence of two fully electric motors, which allow it to unleash its full potential. Furthermore, the Polestar 1 can travel up to 150 kilometres in electric mode, allowing us to move around the urban world without burning a single drop of petrol.

With this tuning, the Polestar 1 will be in charge of demonstrating its capabilities on the asphalt to everyone, where it will also be able to test other vehicles with similar characteristics. In this way, the Swedish company will prove to us that hybridisation is also a concept perfectly compatible with exclusivity and sportiness. The Swedish sports car will be on display at the festival between 12 and 15 July, the dates chosen for the event to take place.
