The president of Ford and its chief executive earned 26 million dollars in salary

If you have ever wondered how much top automotive executives get paid, today we have an answer: over the past year, both Alan Mulally, president of Ford Motor Co., and Bill Ford, its chief executive, have each pocketed the handsome sum of 26 million dollars.
Of course, the money is not handed over in cash like any ordinary person’s wages. Only partly, since they also receive company shares and the gains those shares make on the stock market; so, in addition to earning good money, they also become shareholders.
Among the breakdown of what these two executives have pocketed, for example, the president of Ford has received 600,000 dollars under the heading of entertainment and travel expenses, which also include a premium life insurance policy. In Bill Ford’s case, who is the great-grandson of Henry Ford, he has been paid the salaries that were owed to him for the past three years, since he had not collected a single cent due to the company’s difficult situation.
Lower-ranking executives, such as the president of Ford for the Americas or the chief financial officer, earn somewhat more “modest” salaries, with an average of 7 or 8 million dollars a year.
If the executives at Ford earn what they earn, it would be worth knowing what others earn. I mean the heads of the two largest automotive groups in the world. how much will those at Toyota or Volkswagen take home annually?
