Lotus CEO Danny Bahar recently travelled to Japan to thank the important collaboration that the Japanese company offers to the British manufacturer; let us recall that Lotus uses the support that Toyota provides it in several areas, and it seems that the partnership will extend for several more years.

For this reason, Bahar gave Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda a sports car that is distinguished by being equipped with the new Japanese 2ZZ-GE VVTL-i engine; that is to say, the Lotus Elise handed over to Toyoda symbolises the good relations that exist between both companies.

Therefore, it is no surprise that Toyoda mentions that:

An Toyota engine in a Lotus car creates a completely unique feeling, without a doubt a distinct experience that combines the best of both companies for the enjoyment of consumers.

On the other hand, the British manufacturer is expected to present two sports cars powered by an Toyota engine at the Paris Motor Show, we are referring to the Evora S and Evora IPS models.

However, it is a pity that no details are mentioned about another sports car that has piqued our interest, but some rumours indicate that the first glimpses of its development could be revealed in October.
