The RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition aims to be the most luxurious pick-up in America
This variant of the popular pick-up raises the level of luxury of the model with connectivity and driver-assistance features, along with styling changes

Pick-ups are experiencing a considerable surge in popularity. They are off-road vehicles with more capability than SUVs, and their equipment has been improving over the years, going well beyond being purely work vehicles. Manufacturers have set their sights on increasingly up-to-date and modern pick-ups, with more complete trim levels and each model fitted with technological advances in connectivity and driver-assistance systems.
The RAM 1500 was presented not long ago at the Detroit Auto Show, where it showed a large pick-up that represented an evolution of this type of vehicle, with significant changes and improvements. Now a special edition of this model arrives, the RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition, which considerably improves on the characteristics of the RAM 1500. The idea is to keep the robust, rugged look these vehicles usually have, while adding luxury elements that take it to another level.

Starting with the exterior, we find a different grille which, together with the wheels, gives a fresh and more attractive look. The LED headlights and rear lights have also given the exterior a different and original appearance. To round things off, the RV Match Walnut Brown colour is available as an option, with a two-tone body that gives the vehicle more personality.

Inside, you will find leather upholstery covering the door panels, the centre console, the dashboard and the armrests. Wood and chrome details are spread across various parts of the cabin, and the interior can also be had in several colours. The Longhorn emblem appears in several places inside, such as the glovebox or the seats.

This version will be available in the US market during the first quarter of 2018, although no details have yet been given about the price of the luxury version or the engine options it will offer. The differences may come in connectivity and driver-assistance systems, but it will most likely use the two engines available on the model: a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine producing 309 CV, or the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine producing 400 CV.
