The Volvo XC40 travels to China to conquer the global market
The Volvo XC40 travels to China in spring with the aim of achieving great success. Its main markets will be the United States, Asia and Europe.

Market expansion is something that worries all existing brands, and it is a goal they must reach in order to keep up a good level of sales. Volvo did not want to waste any more time, and that is why it has sent its new XC40 to China with the intention of winning over everyone who crosses paths with this small SUV. The Swedish firm enjoys strong success in various parts of the world, thanks to the new range of models that it has been presenting over the last few years.
The brand’s most modest SUV presents itself as a strong rival to the competition, thanks to good tuning and a level of quality typical of higher segments. Thanks to this combination, Volvo intends to keep up a good number of sales in the Chinese market, one of the countries most sought after by car manufacturers because of its large number of sales.
To date, 20,000 orders for the new XC40 have been registered, and deliveries to customers began in early January. At present, the Swedish SUV is sold mainly in the American and European markets, but it will be in spring when the firm moves into China. The Volvo models are spreading into every corner and with this new model there are now three being marketed worldwide.

At the same time, the XC40 features a series of novelties that make it a very technological and interesting vehicle. The firm has taken advantage of the launch of this new SUV to apply a platform developed by the brand, called CMA. This will bring to life the upcoming Volvo models from the 40 series and the 100% electric vehicles that will arrive very soon.
“The XC40 completes the SUV range and brings the award-winning safety, connectivity and infotainment technologies of our larger vehicles to the small SUV segment. The latest figures make it clear that customers like what they see,” says Björn Annwall, First Vice President of Strategy, Brand & Retail at Volvo Cars.

The Swedish SUV also includes what is known as Shared Vehicle. This new technology is made possible by the XC40’s smart key, which allows members of the owner’s family to use the vehicle without needing the keys. Without a doubt, the new model from the brand is loaded with new technology and safety, allowing its owners to enjoy a completely innovative car without needing to access large segments. With this philosophy, Volvo expects to achieve great success in China.
