Lamborghini Curiosities Supercars
The reasons why we should never lend our supercar

There is a rather sexist saying that goes something like, cars are like women, you don’t lend them out. Setting aside the sexist content of the saying and focusing on the car, you can see in the photo that you should never, ever, ever lend your car to a friend, and even less if it is a model that costs around 150,000 dollars.
This is a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo. The car did not belong to the driver, but to a friend who had lent it to him for a short drive. While enjoying driving the Lambo, he came across a Honda trying to cross the four lanes of the motorway he was driving on, and he could not avoid the collision, wrecking the Gallardo.
Although I suppose the insurance will cover almost the entire cost of the car, the owner’s distress must have been enormous. So you know, if you own a supercar, for your own sake and for the sake of others, don’t lend it out.
