An incredible success for the new Dacia Duster! With more than 4,000 orders and an innovative hybrid powertrain, this SUV is gaining popularity at breakneck speed

The new Dacia Duster, recently renewed and launched in Spain, has got off to a strong start, surpassing 4,000 orders in just four months. This iconic SUV, known for its robustness and versatility, now comes with significant improvements in sustainability, technology and an attractive design never before seen on a Duster, which will be just what is needed to keep its position as a best seller.
The first customer of the renewed Duster is Juan Antonio Jiménez López, a Madrilenian who got ahead of the crowd to be one of the first to enjoy the model, available at an attractive price of €7/day. This new generation of the Duster stands out not only for its greener materials, but also for its powertrain options with the ECO label, its interior space and its technology.

A recent study reveals that 29% of drivers in Spain prefer hybrid vehicles for their next purchase, and 16% would opt for plug-in hybrid technologies. This trend towards hybrids is clearly reflected in the car market figures, where demand has risen by almost 50% compared with the previous year.
Features of the new Dacia Duster
The Duster of Dacia, launched in 2010 and renewed in 2017, returns with notable improvements and continues its legacy as a leader in its segment. Available from 1 March 2024 and at dealerships by early summer, the Duster offers a balance between accessibility and modern features, starting at €19,290, only €340 more than the current model.

The Duster is offered in three trim levels: Essential, Expression and two higher-spec versions with specific features. The Extreme trim, with copper-brown details and practical accessories such as modular roof bars, and the Journey trim, which focuses on elegance and technology, including automatic parking brake and the Media Nav Live multimedia system.
A new feature on the Duster is the YouClip accessory system, which allows various accessories to be attached conveniently inside the cabin. Fitted as standard with 4 or 6 attachment points, the system is compatible with an additional holder on the headrest.

As for the powertrain, the Duster debuts the TCe 130 petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid system, available in 4X2 and 4X4 versions. This 1.2 L turbocharged engine reduces CO2 emissions by 10%. In addition, the HYBRID 140 powertrain is introduced, first seen on the Jogger in early 2023, which allows up to 80% electric driving in urban environments and reduces fuel consumption by 40%.
A petrol and LPG bi-fuel option is also available under the nomenclature, with a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions when running on LPG. All versions carry the ECO label.
