The RIMAC Nevera gets its final tuning in the snow in the mountains of Sweden

The hypercar has undergone several tests on snowy forest tracks in Sweden to fine-tune its various systems and chassis to the maximum.

It is normal to see a supercar running on racetrack circuits or on roads. Seeing them tackle rough terrain is unusual, because they are not designed for it. Yet here we have the RIMAC Nevera, a supercar that is being put to the test on the ground in snowy Sweden. This is because the company wants the driver of this hypercar to be sure they have a car capable of moving across any terrain and in adverse weather.

In these snow tests, work has been done to fine-tune the ABS, the ESP and torque vectoring so that everything works perfectly when extra effort is required. For the tests, the model was equipped with Pirelli winter tyres, designed specifically for this model.

Outdoor testing

The RIMAC Nevera arrives at these tests after successfully passing all the tests it has been subjected to in the company’s climate wind tunnels. With the data obtained there, the vehicle could be calibrated to pass these tests. However, more reliable data was obtained that has allowed all the car’s elements to be fine-tuned so that it can cope with these environments, which are far more hostile and difficult than paved tracks.

Checking the grip on this type of surface and discovering how the vehicle’s systems behave is a fundamental part of these tests, which were held in Sweden. On a normal track, everything is more controlled and the results are fairly predictable, but in this case the challenges imposed are greater and the data better reflects reality.

The model has been homologated for sale in Europe and the United States, but the manufacturer wanted to subject the car to these extreme conditions so that everything fits perfectly. Once it has passed the tests and the chassis has been fully adjusted for all the necessary modifications, it is ready to reach European and American dealerships.
