The scary trio already has a name for its new adventure on Amazon: The Grand Tour

They have just confirmed it. The show by the former Top Gear members (Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond) will be called “The Grand Tour”.
As we have known for several months, the famous trio left Top Gear after the much-publicised dismissal of Jeremy Clarkson and moved to Amazon Prime. Through social media and YouTube, we have learned that they have already been filming for several weeks. The possible name of the new show had also been rumoured, although it has now been confirmed that it will be called The Grand Tour.
According to what we have been able to find out, the new show will focus more on long journeys across the planet and special episodes. The three presenters already did this on Top Gear, but only from time to time. However, it will now be the norm. In fact, each episode of the show will be presented in a different location. Clarkson stated that the show would be run from a tent, so each week they will set up the studio in a different place.
Precisely, the name The Grand Tour comes from filming in different places around the planet. James May joked saying that he “wanted to call it “Nigel” or “Roger”, we needed names, and those are names”.
It seems that Amazon will soon announce filming locations and that, over the summer, it will run a competition to win passes to the studio. The first episodes will begin airing on Amazon Prime after the summer.
The show by the famous trio promises as much as, or even more than, what it did while they worked for Top Gear on the BBC. There will surely be no shortage of laughs, mutual put-downs and, above all, powerful cars with price tags full of zeros sliding across the tarmac. Anticipation is at its peak. Will they surpass Chris Evans’ new Top Gear?
