Coinciding with the first press day of the Shanghai Motor Show, the Spanish brand Seat has taken the opportunity to launch sales of the Ibiza in this market. The Alhambra will join it in the second half of the year, and the new León in early 2014.

The Ibiza is the best-selling and most exported Spanish vehicle, making it one of the key models for Seat. Since production began in 1984, over 4.8 million units have already been sold, of which nearly 69% were exported, mainly to countries such as Germany, France and Italy.

It will be available in China in its three variants: five-door, the SC sporty three-door and the ST estate variant. Its engine range starts with the basic 105 CV up to the 150 CV version. In terms of trim levels, two versions are offered: Style and Reference.

Since Seat set its sights on the main Asian market, one year ago, it has managed to sell a total of 3,000 vehicles, all of them belonging to the second generation of the León. Currently, it has 12 dealerships, where the Ibiza, the new León and the Alhambra will be available from early 2014.
