The SEAT León Cupra R lets its hair down in a photo gallery
These images show us what the new SEAT Leon Cupra R looks like, both on the outside and on the inside, a limited edition of 799 units

SEAT will be ready to deliver the first units of the León Cupra R at the end of this year, so there is very little time left before the first buyers of this powerful and highly visual model can get behind the wheel. It is the most powerful version, but also the most hardcore of all the versions of this compact model that aims to be the future of the sub-brand Cupra.
There are only 799 units of the SEAT León Cupra R, of which 499 units use a 6-speed manual gearbox and another 300 will use a DSG automatic gearbox. The first ones will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that gives the model 310 CV. Cars with the automatic gearbox have slightly less power, at 300 CV.

In both cases, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The main elements that set it apart from the other versions are an adaptive power steering system, a new exhaust system and larger Brembo brakes, measuring 370 mm. In addition, its exterior look is considerably more dynamic and aggressive than that of any other SEAT León.

The aerodynamic kit is made of carbon fibre and consists of a front splitter, a rear spoiler, side skirts and a rear diffuser. With all of this, SEAT claims that an aerodynamic result 12.5% above the standard model is achieved. It also features decorative elements in copper colour, a colour that is also present in the interior: the instrument panel, the centre console and the air conditioning vents.

Other elements such as the steering wheel and the gear lever come with Alcantara trim to give a more elegant yet sporty touch. As for price, the version with the manual gearbox will cost 44,585 euros, while the automatic version starts at 46,375 euros. Certain options push these prices up, such as the Pyrenees Grey colour, exclusive to this model and carrying a surcharge of 2,580 euros, although there are other, cheaper paint finishes. What do you think of this spectacular sports model from SEAT?
