The Series 1 Mustang RTR By Ford Performance wants to make a splash at SEMA

This version of the Ford Mustang has been modified in collaboration with Vaughn Gittin Jr., who has contributed elements from his RTR team to the build. It will be at SEMA

Series 1 Mustang RTR Ford Perfomance SEMA

As every year, it’s time to come across some of the most spectacular customised versions of the market’s models. From 30 October to 2 November Las Vegas will host a new edition of SEMA. Impressive cars that are even more striking thanks to the modifications carried out by some of the world’s best automotive specialists. And one of those that will be on show at the Las Vegas event will be the Series 1 Mustang RTR By Ford Performance.

This car has undergone some changes to its appearance, though not to its mechanicals. The customisation package has been designed by Ford in collaboration with Vaughn Gittin Jr and his RTR team of cars. This means the RTR badge is present in several places on the bodywork. And to give the model that different touch, the customisation package gives the car an impressive look.

One of the things that draws the most attention is the illuminated front grille, but also the added aerodynamic elements on the bodywork, which improve not only the look but also the car’s behaviour. Other changes include a Performance Park 1 spoiler with the RTR Gurney wing and a special package of wheels and tyres. These combine 19×9.5-inch tyres at the front and 19×10-inch at the rear.

Inside, we also find elements that confirm its membership of this limited series of the Ford Mustang. The RTR brand appears in several places, along with a numbered plaque exclusive to each unit prepared in this variant. As for the mechanicals, the Series 1 Mustang RTR By Ford Performance features only one modification.

The suspension has been swapped for the Ford Performance setup, which lets the chassis change its configuration to offer different driving modes. This customisation package can be fitted to the Mustang EcoBoost Performance Package 1 and the Mustang GT Performance Package 1, although only 500 units will be made available for sale. This will be just one of the modified cars on show at SEMA, and we will keep bringing you more over the coming days.
