Škoda completes the range of the fourth-generation Fabia with the Monte Carlo edition, positioned as the top-of-the-range model and giving it sporty features

Last summer, Škoda presented the fourth generation of one of its best-sellers, the Fabia, which, with more than 4.5 million units sold since its launch in 2000, ranks as the second best-selling model of the Czech brand, behind only the popular Octavia. Now, following the start of its sales, the Fabia completes its range with the sporty Monte Carlo edition.

Just a few days ago Škoda previewed the Monte Carlo edition of the Fabia through some sketches, and now they finally reveal it in full, just as sales begin in Spain. The Monte Carlo edition gives the Fabia a sportier look, and to achieve this it receives the black finish on the exterior trim such as the front grille and its surround, the small front bumper spoiler, the mirror housings, the side skirts, the rear diffuser and the badges, plus the 16-inch alloy wheels which come as standard.

Moving inside the Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo, we find sports seats with integrated headrests as standard, upholstered in black fabric combined with lines of different colours running through the centre, with the central one in red. This red also appears on the door panel mouldings, the centre console and the dashboard, while the door armrests and the lower part of the dashboard feature a decorative strip in carbon-fibre effect to accentuate its sporty character. Finally, the handbrake lever and the three-spoke sports steering wheel are upholstered in black leather.

The Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo sits as the top-of-the-range version, so its standard equipment is already quite complete, including items such as:

  • 16-inch “Próxima” alloy wheels
  • Tinted rear windows
  • Sports seats with integrated headrests
  • Stainless steel-covered pedals
  • LED ambient lighting
  • 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 6 airbags
  • ISOFIX anchorages
  • Bolero infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen
  • Hands-free Bluetooth
  • Wireless Smartlink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Mechanically, the Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo will be available in Spain with two petrol engines: on one hand, the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI EVO with a power output of 110 CV, which will be equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox or, optionally, a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox that adds paddle shifters to the sports steering wheel. On the other hand, the most powerful option is the four-cylinder 1.5 TSI EVO delivering 150 CV, paired with the DSG automatic gearbox.

The new Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo is now available to order in Spain, with prices starting from 22,460 euros, excluding any discounts the brand may apply.
