The Skoda Vision RS continues to dazzle us with its sporty interior

Skoda has wanted to show its intentions of entering the world of sporty compacts with the Vision RS, a concept car that gives us a look at its interior.

Škoda Vision RS, the preview of the next Czech compact and the RS versions

The world of sporty compacts is spreading like wildfire over time, since it is a type of segment that is becoming established and taking hold in every market. Skoda, a brand that has always shown a sporty spirit in its models, may be about to enter this battle head-on with a tough rival. For now, the Czech brand has delighted us with a series of sketches of what is known as the Vision RS, a concept car that takes the form of a sporty compact that could arrive to rival directly the Volkswagen Golf GTi or even the R.

A few days ago, Skoda unveiled the styling of the Vision RS, where we could observe not only a new concept within the Czech family, but also a series of features that will bring to life the brand’s future models. Now, Skoda has wanted to delight us with the cabin of this new conceptual creation, which has also benefited from a clear sporty character in line with its raison d’être.

The Czech brand has wanted to respect the spirit that is felt on the exterior of the Vision RS and carry it over to its interior. The first thing that catches our attention is the sport-styled seats that cradle the driver with their bucket-type design. At the same time, and as is typical for a concept car, Skoda has taken advantage of the creation of this sporty compact to design a clean, pure dashboard, where a futuristic styling helps apply these characteristics.

Skoda has turned to top-quality materials to keep its sporty concept intact and offer its competitors a tough rival. Carbon fibre is featured on the dashboard of the Czech compact, refining the essence of the RS badge and hinting that the future mechanicals of the production version will offer performance worth admiring.

On the other hand, Skoda has also wanted to demonstrate the technological mastery it has, which allows it to improve its most recent models. This is reflected in the instrument cluster of the Vision RS, where several lights interact with the infotainment system and with the different driving modes the Czech compact will offer. At the same time, the centre console has also benefited from carbon fibre, and in it sits the gear selector that operates the DSG gearbox.

At the same time, the “Simply Clever” philosophy also continues to be applied to this prototype despite its clear sporty focus. However, it will not be until this edition of the Paris Motor Show that we get to know the Skoda Vision RS, a model that promises to usher in a new era within the Czech family and that will revolutionise the sporty compact segment.
