SsangYong Tivoli Photos Geneva Motor Show SUV
The SsangYong Tivoli is revealed in its first photographs

It is still a few days before the SsangYong Tivoli is presented to the public in South Korea, where it will go on sale next month. However, the brand’s UK division has published some first snapshots on its Facebook page that reveal its design ahead of time.
The basic features we saw a month ago in the three official illustrations released by SsangYong are confirmed in the photographs, which show a real unit. The bold expression of the front end stands out, along with the prominent wheel arches and various details such as decorative trims or the daytime LED lights that complete the modern look that will help refresh the range.

The photograph of the cabin is even more interesting, as it shows aspects that were hidden in the sketches. The option of two-tone interior trim will allow for a more distinctive atmosphere, and technology will also be present in both the instrument cluster and the dashboard.
The centre console does not appear to have an excessively large number of controls, although its layout may not be the most ergonomic. Lacking first-hand impressions of these aspects and of the quality of the materials, which we will gather when SsangYong presents the Tivoli at the Geneva Motor Show, the 2,600 millimetres that we know its wheelbase measures should translate into an interior somewhat more spacious than that of most of its rivals.
For now we are sticking with confirmed data such as the new 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines and a safety equipment package that will come standard with seven airbags. More information will be released in January, and in March we will examine it up close.
