A 1984 Audi Sport Quattro will be auctioned next January

A 1984 Audi Sport Quattro in very good condition goes up for auction on January 16 at an event organized by RM Auctions.
This very special model is believed to be one of the few original cars still remaining in the world today. Only 214 units of this car were built, and this one in particular still retains its original tools, owner’s manual and the additional racing seat belt system.
The Audi Sport Quattro being auctioned has barely covered 8,237 kilometers, as it apparently had only two previous owners who took great care of this vehicle, which many consider to be the most iconic car of Audi.
A Audi dealership recently repaired the vehicle and, as can be seen in the photos, it is in very good condition both inside and out. Under its hood is the legendary five-cylinder turbocharged engine with 2,133cc, which delivers 302 CV (225 kW) to its quattro all-wheel-drive system through a five-speed manual gearbox.
This unit also features electronic fuel injection, independent suspension with coil springs and anti-roll bars at both the front and rear. It also has racing disc brakes on all four wheels with four-piston calipers.
The car will be auctioned with an estimated price between 290,000 and 390,000 euros, so if you are interested (and have won the lottery) in this fantastic automotive gem with Group B homologation, don’t think twice, because it may well be the best example currently in existence.
I’ve already asked Santa Claus for one, but I don’t think it will fit in his sleigh.
