Although what probably interests us most of all is seeing which of the cars within our reach are the most attractive, let’s admit it: we love supercars. Those wheeled arrows that we will probably never have the chance to see and admire in person are part of our passion, and today they have given us a thrill that makes us quite impatient. It comes from Aston Martin, who together with Red Bull wants to break with everything we know about this type of hypercar.

And the AM-RB 001, which will result from the union of both companies, is startling from the very moment we learn that it will feature a V12 engine that, together with a hybrid drive system, will manage to deliver around 1,000 CV of power. Fine, it is spectacular but not unique. Other cars offer something similar. But apparently the power-to-weight ratio will be reduced to 1 CV/kg, which means the car’s weight will help propel it at an impressive speed.

What do we know about this spectacular car? Well, they say it will be capable of reaching 300 km/h in just 10 seconds. But what is truly surprising is that it will return to a standstill in just five seconds more. That is, it will go from 0 to 300 km/h and decelerate in 15 seconds. The previous record in this respect belongs to the Koenigsegg One:1, which achieves it in just 20.7 seconds. Its performance will also allow it to complete a lap of Spa-Francorchamps in a time under 2 minutes. That is remarkable, because the record stands at 1:47.263, and that was set aboard a Formula 1 car.

Its aerodynamics will allow it to achieve results very close to those of a Formula 1 single-seater. 175 units will be built, and of these, 150 will be homologated for road use. The remaining 25 will be destined for competition, with specifications that will be even more spectacular. When will we see it? Well, if all goes well, in two years. Impatient? I am.
