The Subaru BRZ STI returns in the form of a render: will it become reality this time?
The Subaru BRZ STI could become a reality with this second generation, which has already been the subject of several renders.
With the previous generation of the Subaru BRZ, many fantasized about an STI variant capable of further fueling its sporting spirit. However, and to the disappointment of fans of the model, this never came to pass. But hope is the last thing to be lost, and with the second generation of the Subaru BRZ already underway -though not in Europe- that dream of a BRZ STI is coming back to life. The result? A faithful render of that possible variant of the already legendary Japanese sports car.
For now it is too early for Subaru to issue an official statement on the matter, since not even the price of the standard BRZ is known. But what we are sure of is that it is not too early for the imagination of the most petrolheads to take flight everywhere, giving us creations of this eagerly awaited BRZ STI.
The creator of this render is X-Tomi Design, who is responsible for giving “a face” to many cars we would love to exist but which, unfortunately, do not. With this premise, we are presented with a preview of that possible Subaru BRZ STI, a version that would deliver more power, sportiness and dynamism to the Japanese sports car.

Let us recall that, as standard, the BRZ 2021 uses a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine capable of producing 230 CV. This substantial performance boost is sent exclusively to the rear axle and can be managed through a manual gearbox or an optional automatic gearbox. In the hypothetical case of an STI variant being developed, it would be feasible for that figure to rise to at least 250 CV.

To this would be added a weight reduction and more refined aerodynamics, as well as a specific and more aggressive styling. In this render, we can see an air intake on the bonnet, new-design gold alloy wheels -a characteristic colour of the Subaru STI- and a large rear spoiler.
