The Subaru Forester will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an exclusive, comprehensive limited edition

It was in 1997, 25 years ago, that Subaru launched the first generation of the Forester onto the market, a model that, thanks to the good work of the Japanese company, has become one of the most sought-after in its range. That is why the brand does not want to let the milestone pass, a quarter century that Subaru will celebrate with all its customers through a limited edition of the Forester that is very interesting.

The Subaru Forester 25th Anniversary Edition will have a distinctive look without drawing attention to itself at all, and it is that the most interesting aspect of this limited edition lies in its equipment, which is extremely comprehensive. But first we should know that its bodywork comes only in three colours Ice Silver Metallic, Dark Blue Pearl and Magnetite Grey Metallic, which are combined with black applied to the three-dimensional grille, the mirror housings, the fog light surrounds, the roof bars and the side skirts, all accented by a line of orange detailing running along its lower section and on the roof bars.

Inside the Subaru Forester 25th Anniversary Edition this colour scheme is also maintained, where black dominates, applied to the leather upholstery with contrasting stitching in the same orange. Subaru has not released specific photographs of the interior, but it has specified that the orange colour will also be present in the stitching of the instrument panel, the door panels, the steering wheel, the gear lever and the X-Mode switch.

Mechanically, the Subaru Forester 25th Anniversary Edition holds no surprises. Under its bonnet we find the hybrid system made up of the e-Boxer Hybrid engine, a four-cylinder 2.0-litre unit, which delivers a power output of 150 CV sent to all four wheels thanks to the S-AWD all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring, all through a CVT automatic gearbox.

Now comes, without doubt, the most interesting part of the Forester 25th Anniversary Edition: its equipment, which takes the Executive Plus trim level as its reference, the top of the range, and which includes, among other features, the following:

In addition to all the equipment included in the Executive Plus trim, the Forester 25th Anniversary Edition adds the navigation system and a heated steering wheel, equipment valued at 12,000 euros which, with what is added, will carry no surcharge, since the Forester 25th Anniversary Edition will cost the same as the Forester Executive Plus, that is, 39,900 euros. But watch out, because if you are interested in acquiring this anniversary limited edition you will need to hurry, as its production is limited to just 100 units.
