The Suzuki Jimny goes camping with a tent mounted on the roof
This off-roader was missing one specific piece of equipment to become a camping vehicle, and the tuner Kamado has provided it with a tent.

One of the most well-known off-road models is neither particularly large nor especially powerful. That said, the Suzuki Jimny can hold its own against any of the big off-roaders thanks to its technical specifications. No terrain is a match for it, and it also has compact dimensions. Apparently, it was missing something, so the tuner Kamado decided to add a tent to be fitted to the roof.
The Jimny’s tent has to fit the size of the off-roader’s roof. In other words, although it can accommodate two people, it is not as large as those on bigger vehicles. That said, it allows the two people who choose this space to sleep in it without any problems.
This tent for the Suzuki Jimny is called
Canotier J3. The name refers to a type of hat of French origin. It was not chosen at random; it refers to a light hat made of straw. And that is what they aimed for: for this accessory not to weigh too much and not to reduce the off-road capabilities.

To achieve this, they have made it weigh only 45 kg, so it does not add a particularly heavy load. In terms of dimensions, it offers 2.11 metres in length, a width of 1.120 metres and a comfortable height of 0.970 metres. It can accommodate a mattress large enough to comfortably sleep two adults.
The tent is made of neoprene, so it is water-resistant and will offer good heat retention. Access is via a ladder that can be carried in the Jimny itself, so it is easy to climb up without any problems.
The price of this accessory for the small off-roader is 770,000 yen, which is roughly 5,800 euros at the current exchange rate. That said, for the time being it is not available outside the tuner’s workshops, so the Jimny must necessarily be in Japan.
