The Tata Vista features a 1.3 Multijet diesel engine

That the Tata Vista, one of the most affordable vehicles on our market, had not yet added a diesel engine to its range was almost unthinkable, given the popularity that this type of engine enjoys in our country. However, the Indian brand has managed to overcome the difficulties it faced in meeting the Euro anti-pollution standards and will surely give it more sales potential, helping to recover some of the sales figures that have not been kind to the brand in recent months.

The engine chosen for the Vista is the 1.3 Multijet diesel, which we have already seen in action in models such as the Fiat 500 and which was presented at the recent Geneva Motor Show. Coupled to a five-speed gearbox, it will be neither the fastest nor the most economical of the diesels (with 4.9 L/100 km), but at least fans of this type of engine will have a new option.

The new diesel variant will be sold in the LS and LX trims, under the name Quadrajet. The standard equipment of the LS version will include front airbags, ABS, EBD, power steering, electric windows, central locking, air conditioning, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and fog lights. The LX adds alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, six speakers, side airbags, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Prices for the Multijet start at 8,290 euros for the LS, a price that does not include discounts or purchase incentives. The LX version will be sold for 9,040 euros.
