Seat has added to the Ibiza the 1.4 TSI 140 hp engine, designed to achieve lower consumption thanks to selective cylinder deactivation that “shuts off” the second and third cylinders when the load on the car and the speed are lower, all in order to save petrol.

The consumption figures homologated for the model by the Spanish brand are impressive, as they give a combined consumption of 4.7 l/100 km, an urban consumption of 5.9 l/100 km and a motorway consumption of 4.0 l/100 km, which gives a theoretical range of 957 kilometres.

This new engine will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The announced performance puts it at 7.8 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 210 km/h. It will be available with the FR and FR I-TECH trim levels across the entire Ibiza range, i.e. ST, 5-door and SportCoupé.

The price list for the Ibiza 1.4 TSI range with ACT technology is as follows:

  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR SC 19,500 €
  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR i-Tech SC 20,217 €
  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR ST 20,800 €
  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR i-Tech ST 21,517 €
  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR 5p 20,050 €
  • 1.4 TSI 140 CV ACT FR i-Tech 5p 20,767 €
