The Telo MT1 is a compact electric pick-up that outperforms the Tesla Cybertruck
The newly founded company Telo has developed a compact electric pick-up that can tow up to 3,628 kg thanks to its two powerful electric motors.

The electric pick-up market is growing ever larger, and brands are launching models that try to position themselves in a segment that still leaves room to stand out. Telo is a company founded by Jason Marks, Forrest North and Yves Béhar, three entrepreneurs involved in the founding of Tesla, and they have launched a project that will soon see the light of day.
The project they have been working on over several years is called MT1 and it is a small compact pick-up. But that size hides some very special specifications, as it conceals a battery with a capacity of 106 kWh, which powers two electric motors delivering a combined output of 500 CV.

All of this allows this small pick-up to tow a trailer of up to 3,628 kg. Considering that the Telo MT1 weighs 1,995 kg, it can pull almost twice its own weight. For comparison, the base Tesla Cybertruck can tow up to 3,400 kg, although the more powerful versions raise that figure to 4,990 kg.

These specifications refer to the top of the range, although more versions will go on sale, with less power and range. The base version will offer a single motor with an output of 300 CV and a range of 415 kilometres. The dual-motor version is the top of the range and is the one that delivers 500 CV and a range of up to 563 kilometres.
The entry-level version will have a starting price of 41,520 dollars, while the one equipped with two electric motors starts at 50,000 dollars. Production of the Telo MT1 is expected to begin before the end of 2026, but we already know that in the world of automotive startups, even a small setback can cause a major delay in launch plans.
