Model Y Tesla Electric Cars Range / versions SUV
The Tesla Model Y goes off-road thanks to Delta4x4's preparation
The German tuner offers an off-road kit to turn the electric SUV into a fully fledged crossover, with a very rugged look.

Off-road adventure lovers have a Tesla model designed for that purpose. The Tesla Cybertruck is the model designed to leave the road behind and move with ease over the most demanding terrain. But if you don’t want to wait for the definitive launch of this model, you have another option for driving a car built for that purpose.
The Model Y can also be a very practical vehicle for going off the beaten track. At least, if it is equipped with the kit developed by Delta4x4. The German company has gone all out on this car and given it off-road capabilities nobody expected, making it a vehicle well suited to demanding terrain.

If we look at the improvements aimed at improving the Tesla Model Y’s performance over demanding terrain, we find a suspension raised by 35 mm. The wider track, larger wheel arches that make the car 60 mm wider, a roof rack with a unique design and Continental CrossContact ATR tyres make up its upgraded look. In addition, a LED light bar and several auxiliary lights are added to the front.
The roof rack can carry metal recovery boards to get out of any terrain where the wheels get stuck, water supplies or even a tent if you want to spend a night in the countryside. It can be personalised with many options and tailored solutions for any unforeseen situation.

Greater off-road capability
Ground clearance increases by 80 mm, because the 35 mm of extra suspension height is joined by several centimetres provided by the new wheels. With this ground clearance, the Tesla Model Y will be able to move freely over demanding terrain. In total, ground clearance will be 22 centimetres.
That said, the SUV resulting from this modification is just as valid for road driving as before, with the added benefit that it performs better off the road. To turn the Tesla Model Y into this off-road vehicle, the price to pay comes to 13,800 euros.
That said, the company says each element of this upgrade can be purchased individually. The raised suspension costs 900 euros; the wheels and tyres come to 4,500 euros; the track widening kit comes to 2,800 and the roof rack costs 2,900. The LED light bar costs 900 euros, while the additional lights cost 1,800 euros.
