In 2017, Tesla wanted to move forward with its electric vehicle proposal and unveiled the Tesla Semi. It was an electric truck that promised to revolutionize road transport and prevent the emission of thousands of tons of polluting gases into the atmosphere. But five years have passed and the Tesla Semi has still not made an appearance. And yet, according to Tesla, there is a great deal of interest and even reservations from people wanting to get one of them.

Delays are nothing new for the American company, so it is not surprising that customers are being made to wait. But that wait seems about to end, and from the company have updated the promotional images of the Semi. A new collection of photographs shows the already familiar design of the electric transport vehicle, but with several updates that bring it closer to a more feasible production model.

According to Elon Musk, the public face of Tesla, the Tesla Semi will reach buyers at the end of this year, although the first deliveries are expected to take place at the beginning of 2023. According to Musk’s statements, the Semi will have slightly different features in its final configuration.

On the exterior, the Semi features large external rear-view mirrors, in black. The handles are the same color, and moldings can be seen on the rear of the cab. The rear wheels are exposed, so the look is very recognizable, but with subtle differences that give it a different image without losing its original style.

As for the interior, differences can also be found. The center console has been modified and the steering wheel has changed, with controls placed within easier reach. All these changes bring it closer to a possible production version of the electric truck model.

As for performance, it is expected to finally offer a range of between 483 and 805 kilometers, depending on the battery pack chosen. The model will have three independent motors on the rear axles. With them, it will achieve a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 20 seconds. Will this be the definitive takeoff of the Tesla Semi? We will not have to wait long to find out, according to the company.
