The Toyota RAV4 will feature a digital instrument cluster and a larger touchscreen
The new Toyota RAV4 will enter production in the third quarter of 2022, but its price is still unknown.

Toyota has announced a series of improvements for the RAV4 in Europe. The fifth generation of the SUV, originally presented in 2018 and given a minor update in 2021, now benefits from the addition of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and a slightly updated Toyota Safety Sense package for the 2023 model year.
The RAV4 gains the new 10.5-inch high-definition touchscreen that was already introduced on other Toyota models, including the Corolla and Corolla Cross. The new infotainment system comes as standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, gains cloud-based navigation with live data for traffic and parking availability near your destination, plus a new on-board voice agent. Optionally, the system can offer additional features such as offline navigation, road sign recognition, weather alerts and low-emission zone alerts.

In addition, Toyota offers a four-year “Intelligent Service” over-the-air package that provides additional connectivity and remote functions (lock, unlock, climate control, windows, lights, etc.) using the MyT app. The RAV4 also aligns more closely with the competition thanks to a new, larger and more configurable digital instrument cluster. The 12.3-inch unit is standard equipment on all trim levels, except the entry-level version, which has a smaller 7-inch display. The screen offers four modes (Casual, Smart, Sport and Tough) and three layouts, allowing the driver to customise the appearance of the digital dials to their preferences.

Beyond the more modern digital cabin, the RAV4 also features a slightly updated Toyota Safety Sense suite. The Pre-Collision System now includes intersection support for safer turns at junctions, while in the plug-in hybrid the system can detect approaching vehicles in the SUV’s traffic lane. In addition, Toyota has added emergency steering assist that can avoid pedestrians, with the Plug-in Hybrid also gaining recognition of cyclists and parked vehicles.
The popular SUV has not received any major styling updates following the September 2021 refresh with updated LED headlights and new alloy wheels. The only change for the 2023 model year is the addition of the Platinum White Pearl exterior colour across the Plug-in Hybrid and Hybrid range (except the Adventure model), together with the option of a two-tone finish with a Midnight Black Metallic roof.
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 will enter production in the third quarter of 2022. The carmaker has not announced pricing for the updated model.
