The Volkswagen Driving Music turns the experience of carsharing into a full-blown festival
Volkswagen Driving Music presents itself as the ultimate in carsharing. Thanks to this initiative, we will be able to share a car to get to music festivals.

Travelling by car is a pleasure that only motor enthusiasts understand in most cases and, on some occasions, these journeys are enhanced by music, good company or a very attractive destination. Now imagine being able to combine all three and enjoy the journey like never before, something made possible thanks to Volkswagen, which has set out to greatly improve the experience of travelling. It is called Volkswagen Driving Music and it will turn our journeys into a true festival.
We all know the famous carsharing apps, which let us ride in other people’s cars when we share the same destination and for a fee that is, generally, quite low. The German brand has wanted to implement this same system but take it further and tie it closely to music, where festivals and Spotify take centre stage to liven up and encourage the experience.
With this method, Volkswagen offers you the chance to drive other people whose destination is not a city, a hotel or a town, but a music festival. As a result, the German company will raffle a total of 75 tickets among the drivers heading to the festivals until stocks run out, so that we will not only enjoy a pleasant trip with a shared destination, but also be able to spend several days surrounded by music, completely free of charge.

However, this benefits not only the drivers, but also the passengers who take care of making our journey enjoyable. There is no app for your mobile device; instead, you will have to carry out all the procedures through the website, but in a very appealing way. As you can imagine, the main theme of this initiative is music and, to select the companions for our journey to the festival, we can do so based on our musical tastes.
To do this, our Spotify playlists will be shared, so matches will be made between people who share a passion for certain bands. As a result, drivers and their passengers will have more in common, and the company recommends creating a joint playlist before setting off to make the trip even more pleasant. As we mentioned earlier, a total of 75 tickets will be issued per festival, which will be assigned to drivers in the order their trips are confirmed, and so on until they run out.

For now, not all the festivals that will be held across the country are available, but Volkswagen asks that we be patient as we may come across some surprises. The events included in this promotion to date are: Sónar, which will take place in Barcelona from 14 to 16 June; Bilbao BBK Live, which will be held -as its name suggests- in Bilbao from 12 to 14 July; FIB in Benicàssim (Valencia) from 19 to 22 July and, last but not least, DCODE, which will take place in Madrid on 9 September.
