The Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo is now available

The Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo is now available in Gran Turismo 6 exclusively for PlayStation 3. It can be obtained once the 1.18 update is installed. There are then two ways to get it: buying it, or completing one lap (regardless of the time recorded) in the new season event, available for a limited time.

This GTI was designed with the laws of circuit physics in mind: the designers optimised the proportions and the body surface, with a low centre of gravity, an aerodynamically sharp front end and high grip. Carbon fibre elements on the body surface and in many other details reduce weight.

Another area that has been improved is aerodynamics and cooling. The spoilers, one mounted on the roof and one at the rear, create the grip needed on the rear axle. An aerodynamic element on the bonnet ensures the airflow towards the rear spoiler is perfect. In addition, air flows through the rear wheel arches for optimal dissipation of the heat energy generated during braking.

This virtual model has a mechanical configuration identical to that of the GTI Roadster, featuring a 503 CV VR6 TSI engine paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of over 300 km/h. The 665 Nm of torque delivers a huge surge, and the handling characteristics have been specifically tuned for the Gran Turismo circuits.
