Four months after its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, the Ocean Race special edition joins the range of the Volvo XC60 in the Spanish market. It is a series that has been offered on several models of the Swedish brand for more than ten years and that stands out for small specific aesthetic details on the bodywork and interior.

As we told you when Volvo announced the return of the Ocean Race edition, its exterior differences are the 18-inch “Portonus” alloy wheels, the specific badges on the front wheel arches, the silver roof rails and the chrome lower window trim chrome.

The cabin receives the VOR upholstery style (applied to the seats, the centre console and the inserts), which combines leather and fabric, orange contrast stitching on the seats and door panels, digital instrumentation, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with metallic-finish inserts, and the map of the Volvo Ocean Race competition in the boot tray.

The XC60 Ocean Race edition is based on the Kinetic trim, which comes as standard with fog lights, LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, automatic climate control and a multifunction steering wheel, among other features. In Spain it is only available with the D4 engine producing 181 CV, and it can be paired with either the manual gearbox or the Geartronic automatic gearbox, with two drive configurations possible. Prices are as follows:

  • XC60 D4 Ocean Race = 42,271 euros
  • XC60 D4 Ocean Race AWD = 44,772 euros
  • XC60 D4 Ocean Race Auto = 44,887 euros
  • XC60 D4 Ocean Race Auto AWD = 47,272 euros
