BMW Volkswagen Electric Cars Urban
These are the copies of the VW Beetle and BMW i3 for China

This week the Expo EV fair is being held in the city of Shandong, which is dedicated to the field of zero-emission mobility, with the main focus being the exhibition of Chinese electric cars. There we were able to see the Videoev Electric Car and Jinma JMW2200.
The technical requirements these vehicles must meet are, for example, that the engine cannot produce more than 10 CV, the top speed must be no more than 50 km/h, the length of the body cannot exceed four metres, and the maximum price is also limited (4,500 EUR). And although they are quite restricted, when it comes to styling they can create whatever they can imagine.
Firstly, the Videov tries to copy the shapes of the popular Volkswagen Beetle of the latest generation, although it adds two rear doors to improve access, and it is made from a very lightweight plastic material. Even the logo is a blend of the Volvo and Nissan logos, thus creating its own.
The interior of the cabin has not yet been finished, but it is also inspired by the Beetle and will feature a lead-acid battery installed under the rear seats. On the other hand, this prototype will enter production at the beginning of next year.

As for the Jinma JMW2200, it is also electric, with five doors and a front end that tries to follow the style of the BMW i3. Its small electric motor produces only 4 CV and, with its battery, is capable of covering up to 122 km on a single charge.
The JMW2200 will go on sale in the coming weeks with prices starting at around 3,800 EUR.
