Once again, the European Commission has just published a list of recalls. The data provided has caught our attention, as on this occasion the affected components are very important to the life of the models in question. We are talking about problems with the suspension and even the roofs. Let’s go over which models are affected this April.

The first model to appear on the European Commission’s list is the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Specifically, the affected models are those produced between 24 February and 16 July of last year, 2021. The company’s recall code is 7891006 and the risk type is injury. As stated in the report, “the polycarbonate panel located between the windscreen and the panoramic sunroof may not have been correctly attached to the vehicle”.

The star brand appears once again, this time it is the turn of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Specifically, the affected units are those produced between 10 September 2021 and 12 January 2022. The company’s recall code is 3594803 and the risk is injury. “Improper welding on the rear axle may cause some elements to come loose”. This problem could lead to the vehicle deviating or emergency braking not being correct, and the car could slide sideways and cause the driver to lose control.

Recalls in April 2022

The next model recalled is the Seat Tarraco. This recall affects models produced between 4 February 2021 and 30 November 2021. The company’s recall code is 10H7 and the risk involves fire and burns. As can be read in the European Commission’s report, the engine covers could come loose from their fixings depending on conditions of use and age. If these covers come into contact with hot areas, a fire could occur.

Cupra has also been recalled, specifically the Ateca, the Formentor and the León produced between 24 July 2020 and 2 March 2022. These models have the same issue as the Seat Tarraco, so they share recall code 10H7 and the risk is the same: burns and fire.

The DS3 Crossback produced between 16 and 17 November 2021 has a fault recall code of HZX and carries a risk of injury, since the front suspension springs may have been fitted in the wrong position, which can damage the paintwork, wear prematurely and cause corrosion on the vehicle. This fault can lead to the front suspension springs breaking and loss of steering control in the model.

2020 Opel Mokka

The Opel Mokka produced between 16 and 17 November 2021 has also been recalled under the company’s recall code 22-C-001 (O6J) with a risk of injury. Although the code is different, the recall is the same as for the DS3 Crossback. The front suspension springs have not been positioned correctly and may cause traffic accidents, as the vehicle may lose its steering capability.
