GT-R50 Nissan Range / versions Supercars
This is how Italdesign changed the engine of the Nismo GT-R50 alongside Nissan
The customiser Italdesign has worked on the latest version of the Nissan GT-R to turn it into an even more powerful and attractive supercar, ready to win.

We have had the chance to see several samples and versions of the Nissan Nismo GT-R, including one that will be raffled at McDonald’s restaurants in Japan and that features the brand’s colours. Today we take a closer look at the GT-R50 variant, which was created together with Italdesign. The vehicle transformation company has worked to give this supercar a much more attractive look, without forgetting the engine hidden under the bonnet.
The engine used in this version is the same as that of the rest of the new-generation GT-R35, a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 block, although the Italdesign engineers have worked on it to increase its performance and make it sound and feel more powerful. To do so, they went to the Centro Técnico de Nissan and began the hard work of giving it a new life, beyond what it offers in its standard version.

The engine Italdesign has achieved has gained new turbochargers, connecting rods, pistons, camshafts and a new catalytic converter. The result is a variant that delivers 710 CV of power and 780 Nm of maximum torque. Considering that the standard version offers 600 CV and 652 Nm of maximum torque, these are not figures to be dismissed.
The power of the Nismo GT-R50 by Italdesign places it slightly above the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which also uses a 3.8-litre engine delivering 690 CV, making it a supercar to watch and one with a lot to say. But although the engine is an important point to consider, this variant offers something more to showcase the model.
The exterior has also been improved, with the design touch that always appears in the work carried out by the Italian brand. The front and rear fascias differ from the base model and offer a look defined by sportiness and dynamism. The hydraulic spoiler at the rear also plays a big part in that renewed image. We can see it, in the form of a test mule, in the following video. A car that makes a difference.
