This is how the Lancia Gamma will look, the next model from the Italian brand
The Italian brand is preparing its return to the automotive market with two models, the Lancia Ypsilon and the Lancia Gamma, which will arrive after the first.

Before long we will already have the Lancia Ypsilon on the market, which will be the first model of this new chapter for the Italian brand. It is the Lancia Gamma, which will arrive once the previous model has been launched. Lancia has surprised everyone with its plans for this new model, which will not be a compact electric car, as was expected.
For this new vehicle, Lancia has come up with a range that is going to surprise. It is a saloon crossover, a type of car that is establishing itself in the market and has more and more models on sale. An example of this type of vehicle is the Peugeot 408 and the Opel Manta, both also from Stellantis.

Following the line of the Pu+Ra Concept
This new model will have a length of 4.70 metres, which places it in the D segment. Being a crossover, it will have a notably raised ground clearance and a fairly dynamic look, with a slightly sloping rear window. We do not know what solution they will seek for the boot.
The chosen style may feature either a full-opening tailgate for the boot or a door to access it, in the style of four-door bodywork. As for the engines, this model is not expected to offer combustion-engine versions. In other words, it will opt for an electric drivetrain to move directly into electric mobility.
It is expected that they will use two electric motors, which could offer a power output between 170 and 450 kW, depending on whether one or two motors are used. These will be powered by energy stored in a lithium-ion battery. This will offer a maximum range of 700 kilometres. It will be mounted on the STLA Medium platform, which also allows combustion engines to be used if necessary.
We do not believe it will come to that extreme, since the market is heading towards electrification and it would not be viable to move back to thermal propulsion. Either way, this model will arrive in 2026 and is expected to carve out a place at the top of the electrified car range.
