First deliveries of the Volvo EX30 in Europe -and also in Spain-

Some fortunate customers in several European countries, including Spain, have already had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of their new Volvo EX30

The long-awaited compact SUV from the Swedish manufacturer is already on the roads of several European countries. After announcing in November the delivery of a small number of units in the Chinese market, Volvo did not want to see out 2023 without some of its European customers also being able to park an EX30 in their garage.

In a press release, the Swedish manufacturer states that the first units of its new compact electric SUV were delivered in December to customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and also in Spain, as can be seen in the bottom-right image of the collage published by the company itself, which you will find just below these lines.

Volvo has thus achieved its goal of bringing the first EX30 units to the European market before 2024 began, with the intention now that scaling up production of this electric model will allow it to drastically increase delivery volumes over the coming quarters. The Swedish manufacturer is confident that this will be the case and that the EX30 will become a sales success over the next few years. This expectation is based on the fact that this model sits in the market segment with the highest demand, as well as on its highly competitive price.

Which one would you choose?

The Volvo EX30 is on sale in Spain from 36,770 euros. This is the price of the entry-level Single Core version, with a single rear-axle motor and a 51 kWh battery pack. The Single Plus version, with the same specifications but a higher level of equipment, is priced at 39,735 euros. Also rear-wheel drive but with a higher-capacity 69 kWh battery pack, Volvo offers three more versions -Core, Plus and Ultra- priced from 42,034 euros to 48,749 euros. Finally, at the top of the range, the Swedish manufacturer offers two versions -Plus and Ultra- with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, also with the 69 kWh battery pack. The price of these two top-of-the-range versions is 48,265 and 51,411 euros, respectively.

Volvo Ex30 Interior

All the Volvo EX30 units delivered so far in Europe come from the company’s Chinese plant in Zhangjiakou, and this will remain the case for some time. This compact electric SUV is also planned to roll off the assembly line at the company’s Belgian plant in Ghent, to meet European market demand. But this will not happen until next year, 2025.
