This is the AMG Driving Academy
Would you like to enjoy winter and some of the best sports cars in the world? Wait until you learn about the AMG Driving Academy.

The cold is approaching, but that doesn’t mean the most passionate drivers have to park their cars until the snow has completely melted. The performance division of the star brand, Mercedes-Benz AMG, has the solution: it has created advanced driving courses over nine.
Of course, when it comes to AMG, not just any Mercedes-Benz will do. The AMG Driving Academy is in Sweden and from next January will reopen its doors to the fortunate owners who want to test their driving skills on snow. The tests take place in Arjeplog, Sweden, on a frozen lake. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

This is the AMG Driving Academy
Maro Engel, Bernd Schneider, Karl Wendlinger and Bernd Maylander, along with other motorsport professionals, will be responsible for instructing participants in a wide variety of driving techniques, including drifting. Clients will get behind the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupé and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic.
The brand aims to teach all drivers, which is why three training levels have been created: Basic, Discovery and Advanced. Each one adapts perfectly to the drivers’ skills, but it is the last one that truly pushes the laws of physics. There is even a dedicated five-day “Advanced Week” for those who know what they are doing. Upon completion, they can sign up for the “Professional Week”.

If cars are your passion, you can also enrol in the course called “Masters” and the “Pro Plus“. These courses include intensive training with professional racing drivers on and off the ice. Mastering driving on ice also involves time in the theory classroom. Participants at all levels can test their new skills in competitions such as a drift contest. There is also a “Champions Race” for anyone who wishes to compete directly against their classmates.
All attendees will stay at the elegant Hotel Silverhatten. In addition, the hotel will have a lounge reserved exclusively for drivers. The price, which has not been disclosed, will vary according to the skill set and is unlikely to include the flight. But then again, there’s nothing like enjoying a ride in an AMG on a frozen lake. Can you think of a better plan for enjoying winter and your own car?
