Once these changes were made, the guys were able to adjust the engine timing, and they’ve managed to get the Toyota GR Yaris to reach almost 500 CV. Given how crazy that power figure is, it’s safe to assume that all the components of the 1.6-litre block have been replaced. However, the only mechanical upgrade made to the engine is the installation of new valve springs. That means this impressive Toyota GR Yaris keeps the original block, the connecting rods, the pistons, the head gasket, the head studs and even the camshafts.

The Australian guys at Powertune still have to take the Toyota GR Yaris to the track to test it.
