Use your head! This is the name of the video the Guardia Civil has produced to raise awareness of seat belt use.

Once again, the Guardia Civil has produced a video reminding drivers of the importance of wearing a seat belt. The video was published on the force’s official Twitter profile, and its aim is to convince drivers that the seat belt must always be worn, even if you are only moving the car out of a car park.
You may recognise the video the Guardia Civil has created to make sure you don’t forget to fasten your seat belt, as they have already used it on more than one occasion. However, it clearly shows what many drivers do every day, which goes against their own safety behind the wheel.

‘Ten cabeza’ (Use Your Head), the Guardia Civil video raising awareness of seat belt use
This campaign is not only for the summer; it applies to every journey. This year, however, it is especially important because mobility was restored relatively recently and car journeys during the summer season are likely to increase. The published post reads: “Whether you’re travelling far to enjoy your summer holidays or only going as far as the corner shop, don’t wait to see us to put it on.”
Whether you’re travelling far to enjoy your #VacacionesDeVerano or only going as far as the corner shop…”Don’t wait to see us to put it on”#TenCabeza

The Guardia Civil has published this video to raise awareness of seat belt use, especially when officers are not present. The new Traffic Law has toughened penalties for driving without a seat belt: drivers who do not wear one will lose four points and face a fine of 200 euros.

The video the Guardia Civil has published is titled ‘Ten cabeza’ and its message is very clear: “don’t wait to see us to do it.” What would you do if you suddenly saw Guardia Civil officers inside your car? Tell us!
