This Porsche 911 prepared by Singer will make you fall in love forever
When you examine it in detail, you understand why the Porsche 911 DSL prepared by Singer can reach a price of 1.8 million dollars. Only 75 units will be built, so you may want to start saving.
The Porsche 911 prepared by Singer, which the brand calls DLS –after the acronym for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study–, was presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
And on its second public appearance, at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, it will steal the spotlight from new supercars of the caliber of the Audi PB18, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and the Pininfarina PFO.

It is no surprise. We are looking at one of the most impressive modifications ever made to a 911. For this, Singer has enlisted two exceptional collaborators: Williams Advanced Engineering and the former Porsche engineer Hans Mezger, as technical consultant.
The list of “partners” in this project gives an idea of the quality of the execution. Namely:
- Bosch, in charge of the specific stability control system.
- Hewland, responsible for the transmission, with a 6-speed gearbox with a magnesium casing to reduce weight.
- Brembo, for the brakes with carbon-ceramic discs.
- Michelin, in charge of supplying the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in 245/35-18 at the front and 295/30-18 for the rear axle.
- BBS, which signs the 18″ magnesium wheels with a centre-lock system.
- Recaro, in charge of the seats with a carbon fibre structure.
- Momo puts its stamp on the beautiful three-spoke steering wheel, also in carbon fibre.
The best naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engine in the world
As you may have identified, beneath its muscular bodywork, the starting point for Singer’s Porsche DLS is a series 964 “nine-eleven”. But whichever way you look at it, it has exclusive details that could justify its price. Because the 911 DLS is not merely a cosmetic makeover; the entire chassis has been completely rethought.
And the goal of achieving the best air-cooled six-cylinder engine in the world has been met: the naturally aspirated 4-litre boxer delivers a maximum power of 500 CV, at 9,000 rpm.

Among many other things, the engine receives a new lubrication system to ensure reliability at such high revs, as well as titanium valves and many magnesium components. And in this video you can hear how the Porsche 911 DLS engine sounds in the red unit that debuted at Goodwood.
