This video shows that autonomous technology still has a long way to go
The fault was recorded in the Autopilot 2.0 system of a Tesla Model S and forces the driver to grab the steering wheel to avoid leaving the road.
The Autopilot 2.0 system (the most recent hardware from the American firm) in this Tesla Model S is a clear example that autonomous technology still has a long way to go. In the following video we can see how the faulty Autopilot system of this vehicle forces its driver to make several corrections to keep the car within its lane and even within the road itself.

Upon learning of the news, Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, quickly posted a tweet asking his customers to be cautious when using the Autopilot system in their vehicles, as some may need to be repaired.
Autopilot for HW2 rolling out to all HW2 cars today. Please be cautious. Some cars will require adjustment of camera pitch angle by service.

Naturally, not all Tesla Model S vehicles have this problem; in fact, only a few are affected. Nevertheless, videos like this one remind us that, although autonomous technology has advanced a great deal in a very short time, it is still far from the safety levels expected for it to become a reliable form of mobility on a large scale.
