Tools and essential items in your car that can help you in case of an unexpected problem
There are several tools and objects you should carry in your car to improve safety and solve many of the problems you may encounter.

Mechanics is often an outstanding subject for many drivers. It is complex, especially in the most modern cars. Even so, there are some tools and items we can carry in the car that can solve more than one problem. At least, temporarily. Let’s review some tools, objects and items that can make a car journey safer.
Warning signal systems
In the event of any breakdown, you must signal that the car is stopped. To do this, remember that for now emergency warning triangles must be used, although the new V-16 emergency light can also be used. Soon it will be necessary for it to also include a geolocation system, although for now, emergency warning triangles are essential and mandatory.

Equally important is the reflective vest, which is mandatory if you have to get out of the car and stand on the road or the hard shoulder. And be careful: one is needed for each passenger who gets out of the vehicle, so that they are properly visible and accidents are avoided.
Screwdriver with interchangeable head
A screwdriver is always important. Most screws found in a car are star-head, so having one of these on hand could be useful. But it is better to have one of those small cases with screwdrivers with interchangeable tips, to have alternatives that can work very well. There are very cheap and functional models that can be very useful.
Spare bulbs and fuses
If a headlight bulb blows, we can solve the problem with a spare bulb and a little skill. It is also advisable to have the most commonly used fuses on hand, in case one blows. With the most current cars, replacing these components can be more complicated and require a visit to the workshop.

Insulating tape
We all have in mind the many uses of insulating tape. Or duct tape, which is what comes to mind as the most efficient tape of this type. But whatever type is used, it is always good to carry one or two rolls of this product. It can be very practical if we find a loose mirror, an indicator or any other element of the car. It can be a quick, temporary solution to get to the workshop and replace the broken part.
Pliers
At first glance, it may seem like an object or tool that has no place in a car. But pliers are very useful if you need to cut off a piece of bodywork that sticks out after an impact. Or, at least, to bend it back into its original shape. At a minimum, to prevent it from being dangerous or causing further problems.
Torch
You never know when a breakdown or a simple puncture may happen. If it happens at night or at any time of poor visibility, it will be essential to get a sense of the situation. It also helps you be more visible, so it is necessary to carry a fairly powerful torch in the car.
Gloves
Protection is essential. A car has many points that can be dangerous when handling it, so it is important to have gloves.

Tools for changing a wheel
Many drivers have insurance that includes roadside assistance. This means the tow truck will arrive quickly in case of a puncture, and its operator will be the one to change the wheel. Usually, they carry better tools than those we can carry in the car, and they will do it more quickly. Many drivers have never changed a wheel, and it can be quite complicated without practice, especially with low-quality tools. Even so, it is advisable to carry them in case they are needed.
Of course, some of these things are not mandatory, but they are certainly very practical and useful in critical moments, such as the breakdowns and unexpected problems you can encounter day to day.
