Toyota and the Land Cruiser turn 60 together

The Toyota Land Cruiser turns 60, and that is no small feat. Besides going head to head with other brands that specialise in off-road vehicles, the Land Cruiser is one of the most traditional models of Toyota in a fairly large number of countries, and one of the few that has not gone soft.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Toyota has unveiled a promotional film with images of the Cruiser through the ages. From the first models, which bore an astonishing resemblance to the Jeep of the Second World War, right up to the Land Cruiser 60 Anniversary.

The Land Cruiser not only meets everything a modern vehicle should offer, but it also remains a versatile vehicle that can comfortably take us on road trips, or carry us with a certain competence along dirt tracks or where no tracks exist at all.
