Toyota Aygo X Cross UNDERCOVER, an exclusive limited edition on offer for Spain

For a few days now, and until 7 March, the French capital has been living frenetic days with the celebration of Paris Fashion Week, where the spotlight also falls on the celebrities who gather there alongside haute couture designers, something brands take full advantage of to accompany them with their latest models. Toyota is also present there, with a limited edition in which design is the true star.

With the Aygo X Cross as its protagonist, Toyota has travelled to Paris Fashion Week to present a limited edition created in collaboration with the brand UNDERCOVER. Founded in 1990 by Jun Takahashi, the brand began at that time to carve out a place within Tokyo’s underground scene, fusing art, casual clothing and music subcultures, and went on to gain the worldwide fame and recognition that has allowed it to be present at an event as important as Paris Fashion Week for more than 10 years.

In this way, and staying true to the principles of the brand with which it started, Jun Takahashi has made design changes to the Toyota Aygo X Cross UNDERCOVER, drawing inspiration from nonconformity and the breaking of stereotypes. To this end, the exterior features an exclusive two-tone Grey body colour developed for the occasion by Toyota, which contrasts with the Coral Red applied to the 18-inch wheels in a black finish. Inside, there is special upholstery for the seats and exclusive floor mats with a unique pattern, plus the slogan “Chaos/Balance” printed on stickers for the roof.

Nothing changes in its mechanics, so under its bonnet is the same three-cylinder, 1,000 cc block that produces 72 CV and a torque of 205 Nm, managed through a CVT automatic gearbox. Thanks to this powertrain, the Aygo X Cross records a combined fuel consumption of 4.7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 107 g/km.

The Toyota Aygo X Cross UNDERCOVER will be manufactured as a limited edition of 5,000 units worldwide, of which 100 units are planned for Spain. On 6 March, Toyota will allow it to be reserved via its website with a deposit of 100 euros, and it is also available under an attractive offer for just 165 euros a month through Toyota Easy Plus, which also includes four years of maintenance and four years of warranty.
