Toyota becomes the market leader in the Spanish automotive sector during 2025
Toyota has become the best-selling brand in the Spanish market throughout 2025 and posts significant growth in electrified models.

Being the best-selling brand in the Spanish market is something that has been reserved for Toyota for the past four years. Over these last four years, the Japanese brand has been the one that has sold the most cars in our market. This does not mean that the best-selling model has been from this brand, since that honor goes to another brand, but it has been the one that registered the most units over the course of the year.
During 2025, 105,424 units were registered under the Toyota badge, representing a market share of 8.3%. The private buyer market, which is of great importance to the industry, recorded registrations of 59,311 units. This also places it at the top of the passenger vehicle segment.

Toyota’s best-selling models
The best-selling Toyota model in Spain was the Yaris Cross, which also became the third best-selling model in our country. In total, 14,754 units of this model were sold. The Yaris Cross is followed by the Toyota C-HR, with sales of 12,776 units. The C-HR Plug-in version recorded sales of 8,214 units of the C-HR, along with the RAV4 Plug-in, whose sales totaled 5,264 units. With these figures, it is confirmed that Toyota’s hybrid technology remains important for the brand.

TOYOTA VENTAS 2025
In terms of electric vehicles, the Toyota bZ4X sold 2,640 units, representing an increase of 705% compared to the previous year’s sales. This sales growth is explained by its incorporation into taxi and VTC fleets in various Spanish cities.
The upcoming Toyota C-HR+ Electric will arrive during the second quarter of 2026, so the brand’s range in this area will be strengthened.
Toyota Professional
Looking at the commercial division, Toyota sold 14,354 units, of which 2,520 were electrified commercial vehicles. Overall, growth in this sector is 6.7%. To position its electrified vehicles, Toyota adjusts prices and matches their monthly installments with those of the diesel versions. In addition, it offers an extensive after-sales service with 29 centers across the country and subsidized maintenance packages for electric vehicles.
Toyota has 20 models on the Spanish market, with four electrified technologies (HEV, PHEV, BEV and FCEV), so every driver can find the one they prefer or that best suits their needs.
