Toyota C-HR GR Sport, a special version for Japanese buyers
Toyota has wanted to offer its Japanese customers a special edition of the C-HR with some differences from the models intended for other countries

Toyota is going to update its popular Toyota C-HR for the 2020 model year, something we have already seen in a previous article, but in Japan they will be lucky enough to have a special version that can only be found in this country. This is the Toyota C-HR GR Sport, a special edition that has quite a few differences compared to the variants that will be distributed in the rest of the markets.
The aesthetic changes compared to these international models give it a look that is even more spectacular and dynamic. But these modifications have not only been made to the exterior, as the chassis also features changes so that the driving experience is even more intense.

Changes on the exterior
The bodywork features modifications such as the front bumper, which houses the massive grille with a horizontal bar where the name of the special version can be read. It also has protection on the lower part and fog lights on both sides of the grille. The two-tone 19-inch alloy wheels are an ideal complement to the sporty look of the model, aided by 225/45 R19 tyres.

TOYOTA C-HR GR SPORT
Japanese buyers will be able to purchase the Toyota C-HR GR Sport in 11 different colours, which include 5 two-tone schemes with the roof and A-pillar painted black. Looking at the interior, we find the steering wheel wrapped in leather with silver stitching and the GR logo. The sports seats also feature the special edition logo on the backrest.
Under the steering wheel we find aluminium pedals and in certain areas of the cabin there is silver-coloured trim. As for the mechanical equipment, the Japanese version of the Toyota C-HR has upgraded suspension, tuned to provide more stability and a feeling of safety while driving. This is also aided by an improvement in the steering that allows for a sportier drive.
The rest of the versions of the Toyota C-HR that will go on sale will be basically the same as in the rest of the markets, so apart from this special variant for Japan they will have no further differences compared to us. That said, we would not mind the Toyota C-HR GR Sport reaching Europe, even if only in limited numbers.
