Toyota Corolla 2022: the popular compact gets updated
The Japanese brand has just unveiled its new Corolla 2022, a more technologically advanced revamp with new design elements

The Toyota Corolla has been with us for 55 years, during which we have seen a total of 11 generations.
With almost 50,000 units registered in our country since 2018, the year its latest generation was introduced, the Japanese brand has decided to incorporate several updates to bring it up to date, with the aim of boosting its sales by making it a more current and attractive option.
This update brings new features to its technology section and a few details on the exterior, as well as a new version ideal for cycling and adventure enthusiasts.
Its new features
Available from January of next year, the new Corolla 2022 debuts two new colours called “Platinum White Pearl” and “Silver Metallic”, as well as new, elegant 17-inch light-alloy wheels with 10 spokes in two colours that give it a fresh look.
Inside, Toyota has incorporated a CPU that is up to 2.4 times faster, allowing smoother operation of its infotainment system, led by its central 8-inch touchscreen.

In addition, new voice commands have also been introduced, along with the ability to update the system wirelessly.
For the more sporty
As we have already told you, this new update also debuts a new version called Toyota Corolla Trek Special Edition, which, as its name suggests, was developed jointly with bicycle manufacturer Trek.

This version for cycling enthusiasts features new 18-inch wheels , a body 20 mm higher, plastic wheel-arch mouldings and an interior upholstered in black leather.
Under the bonnet of this Corolla Trek is a 2.0-litre hybrid engine producing 184 CV of power, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox.
With all this, the new Toyota Corolla looks more modern and better prepared than ever, positioning itself as one of the most versatile options in its segment thanks to its hybrid system, its combined consumption of 5.2 litres per 100 kilometres homologated under the WLTP cycle, and its excellent value for money.
