Toyota unveils the interior of its upcoming seven-seat family SUV
The Japanese manufacturer will officially present this model next week, revealing its technical specifications and other details of interest at that time.
Toyota has started 2026 by committing to the electrification of its range. The Japanese manufacturer has already added three new models to its electric vehicle lineup: the updated bZ, the recently launched C-HR and the bZ Woodland. But that won’t be the end of it, as another new model is in development, and we have already begun to learn some details about it.
Last week, Toyota already showed an image of the rear of this model, and now it has released some images of its interior, which allow us to confirm that it is a large family SUV with room for three rows of seats.

As can be seen in the image above, the interior of this new model represents a qualitative leap over the current bZ. It adopts a minimalist style that is very reminiscent of the design language of Swedish manufacturers such as Volvo or Polestar, combined with extensive use of digital surfaces in the style of Tesla. A huge central touchscreen dominates the dashboard, accompanied by a digital instrument cluster, customisable ambient lighting, individual seats in the second row and a large glass panoramic roof that provides plenty of light and a sense of spaciousness.
A bet on the future
Beyond the technical specifications, the software will be one of the most interesting aspects of this model. The Japanese manufacturer has made great strides in this area, as demonstrated by the new RAV4, which incorporates the Arene platform based on the software-defined vehicle concept, integrating highly customisable interfaces and much more conversational natural voice commands. It therefore seems quite likely that this new model will follow the same path, using a centralised electrical architecture with advanced capabilities.
With this model, Toyota will compete in an increasingly crowded segment of the market, one that until recently had only a handful of options. The prestige of the Japanese brand may, however, be a significant asset in favour of this new model. According to some market studies carried out in the United States, drivers in that country have a very positive perception of what Toyota offers, a brand they associate with solid and reliable vehicles.

With this new model, the Japanese manufacturer has the opportunity to demonstrate that this perception of its vehicles also applies to its new electric models, thereby maintaining the support that many customers have given the brand for many years.
