Toyota Electric Cars Eventos Salón de Tokio
Toyota will showcase these two electrified models at the Japan Mobility Show 2023
Toyota has unveiled two of its future concepts that will be on display at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 and that are set to revolutionise electric mobility in every area

The Tokyo Big Sight, in Koto-ku, Tokyo, will become the epicentre of innovation and future mobility from 25 October to 5 November 2023 with the exciting Japan Mobility Show 2023. Under the slogan “Let’s change the future of the automotive industry! Find your future”, this event promises to transform the way we conceive and experience mobility.
One highlight of the show is the stand of Toyota, which will present two exciting prototypes: the IMV 0 and the KAYOIBAKO. These revolutionary mobility concepts offer a fresh and bold vision of how we will move in the coming years and of how the brand has made an effort to make electric vehicles more accessible in the future.

IMV 0
The IMV 0, whose name means “Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle 0”, is an innovation from the brand that we wrote about very recently. For those who have not had the chance to read it, it represents the culmination of Toyota’s quest to create a vehicle that its owners help shape. This pick-up-style prototype takes us back to the origins of Toyota’s IMV project, but with an exciting twist: total personalisation.

What makes the IMV 0 so special and eye-catching is its ability to attach customisable parts to the platform. This innovative feature enables lifestyles linked to the mobility of the future, whether for professional or personal use. Imagine having a vehicle that adapts perfectly to your needs, from carrying heavy equipment to comfortable everyday transport.
The IMV 0 comes with impressive dimensions: 5300 mm in length, 1785 mm in width and 1740 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3085 mm. Surprisingly, this vehicle is a two-seater, which gives it a touch of exclusivity and personalisation.

Kayoibako
Kayoibako is a term that refers to configurable containers designed to transport components and products safely and efficiently, without wasting space. Following this philosophy, the Kayoibako is a compact mobility concept that shows us the future.
Toyota has created a “basic unit of quality” mobility through the Kayoibako, focusing on its interior and exterior structure as well as affordability. This battery electric vehicle (BEV) is highly versatile and can be adapted to a wide variety of applications, from professional uses such as last-mile logistics to use as a mobile shop or shuttle bus. It features adaptable hardware and software, so this vehicle can form part of smart grids and other intelligent social systems.

This prototype also focuses on “Mobility for everyone“, with the ability to adapt to make access easier for people who use wheelchairs, demonstrating Toyota’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
Like the IMV 0, the Kayoibako has notable dimensions: 5300 mm in length, 1785 mm in width and 1740 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3085 mm and two seats, which emphasises its versatility
