Two Ferrari that made their last trip

Two Ferrari have fallen victim to separate accidents. In Germany, an 80-year-old man crashed a F40 into a tree. In the USA, a 599 GTB was engulfed in flames and destroyed.

The world of sports cars, which delight our eyes every day, has lost two examples in just a few hours. No less than an Ferrari F40 and a 599 GTB have been the victims of a violent accident and a fire, respectively.

Going into detail, the Ferrari F40 was being driven by an 80-year-old man, in Germany, and it seems he did not take into account that driving an F40 requires a certain skill and good reflexes. We do not know whether he lacked one of the two characteristics mentioned due to his age, but everything ended when the exclusive Ferrari, designed by Pininfarina, crashed into a tree.

The case of the Ferrari 599 GTB is a little more mundane, as it caught fire for unknown reasons in Arizona, USA. Apparently the cabin was invaded by a “strong smell of petrol” and the driver stopped to see what was happening inside the engine. But by the time he decided to stop, the fire had already started in the petrol hoses, and the firefighters could do little to prevent the flames from destroying the cavallino.
