Underground Racing launches the first Aventador Twin Turbo

The 700 hp that the standard Lamborghini Aventador delivers may fall short. It’s also possible that current tuning packages for the latest Italian bull aren’t good enough. For all of them, and for the impatient who can’t wait for the SuperVeloce variant, Underground Racing has fitted a Twin Turbo system to push that V12 to 1,200 hp. Pure adrenaline.

Until now, only small steps had been offered to increase the power and torque of the new naturally aspirated Lamborghini engine, but these guys have gone one step further. It seems the only real way to extract genuine horsepower from engines is through forced induction. Say goodbye to your Nissan GT-R, because this Aventador has been created by and for drag races.

The Aventador Twin-Turbo features a completely rebuilt engine designed to make the world tremble. To withstand such power, both the all-wheel-drive system and the seven-speed automatic gearbox have been upgraded. The latter is now even faster.

The Bugatti Veyron can now say goodbye to its acceleration record, since this new tuning is capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in an astonishing 2.2 seconds. Underground Racing hasn’t disclosed any top speed figures, as there are few straights on our planet long enough to exceed 400 km/h.
