Underground Racing takes on the 4.5-litre V8 of the Ferrari 458 Italia

If there is one thing that characterises a tuner like the American firm Underground Racing, it is something as simple as the performance programmes they develop and fit for those who not only own a supercar but are capable of handling beasts of at least 700 or 800 horsepower.

On this occasion we have to talk about the Ferrari 458 Italia, one of the last supercars built by the Italian firm which, after passing through this tuner’s workshop and receiving a new twin-turbo system on its 4.5-litre V8, has had its power raised by a not inconsiderable 130 horsepower.

As I mentioned above, the 458 Italia you can see in the video below produces no less than 700 horsepower, but, as is to be expected, it is not all solved by installing a new twin-turbo system: new components have also been fitted, such as a higher-flow direct fuel injection.

As a point of information, what you will see below is, according to Underground Racing, what they call a Level 1 power upgrade, a kit that will be considerably surpassed once they present their Stage 2.
